Wow!!!!!!!

Never in 32 years have I seen this bird in Otsego County. A sandhill crane. What a sighting!

Despite persistently cool, wet weather, this mom successfully hatched out 5 goslings yesterday on our pond. She used a new nesting site this year- very well hidden in the swamp.
